Performance: Project experience sharing

I was very grateful for being given the opportunity to share at the ceremony my experience of participating in a 5-day-and-4-night air, sea and land leadership training camp at the JPC@Pat Heung. Despite my extensive stage experience, I was new to experience sharing with a partner on stage. I was getting as nervous as I used to be.

To help me get prepared, the centre made me the emcee at the Volunteer Award Presentation Ceremony and the Chinese New Year gathering. During the rehearsal of this ceremony, my partner Winnie and I kept practising, hoping that we would not stammer on stage. Luckily, we managed to deliver our dialogue fluently and naturally on that day, and I was satisfied with my performance. This experience has greatly boosted my self-confidence. I think I will make more new attempts should opportunities arise.

Performance: Project experience sharing

Experience sharing at a ceremony with more than a thousand people is naturally nerve-racking. Hence, my partner Tsz-yeung and I took all rehearsal sessions and preparations very seriously. We practised again and again, hoping that on the stage we could articulate our experiences and feelings to the audience.

The most memorable part of this sharing session was the acknowledgement given by the audience, who were impressed by our rapport and calmness on stage. It was worth all the efforts to win others’ recognition, and I felt confident in my ability to take on future challenges of public speaking.
