I joined a CDF project as a Form 1 student, mainly attracted by the idea of targeted savings. I also hoped that my mentor could guide and accompany me through my growth journey. I used to aspire to be a teacher, a stage worker or an athlete. Upon completion of the three-year project, I finally realised that my life goal was to become a flight attendant. Now my dream has come true.

The CDF project has profound impacts on me. First, I used my targeted savings to join a study tour to Australia, after which I developed a stronger desire to tour around the world. Second, I came to understand the importance of goal setting. The satisfaction I gained from pursuing my goals every day is indescribable. The project also made me deeply realise one thing: if you follow your heart to do something you really like, you will naturally devote yourself to it until your goal is achieved. As a previous mentee, my advice to all newcomers is to maintain curiosity throughout their participation and make more attempts to enhance their capabilities and self-confidence. Although they may encounter difficulties, setbacks and failures, they should never give up easily. I truly believe that as long as we persevere and endure, a promising future is always waiting.
