20 CDF participants attended the 40th Hong Kong International Film Festival screening of Tomorrow (Demain) (a foreign language documentary) on 3 April 2016. They also joined a post-screening talk led by guest speaker Mr CHOW Sze-chung. In the film, a group of cineastes including the actress-cum-director of the film, who are all parents themselves, set out on a long journey to look for feasible eco-friendly solutions to climate change. The places they visited include Iceland, where electricity is generated by geothermal energy and wind power, and Detroit, a city in the United States where its people are trying to revitalise the local economy by urban farming. The film tells the audience about the major crises our world is facing, and presents the idea that saving the Earth starts with saving one's own community.

"Tomorrow (Demain) is an amazing film. I learned a lot of new things such as the flaws of the global capitalist financial system, political processes and even gained many ideas for potential businesses in an alternative economic system. The film was enlightening, and quite touching in an unusual way. I have never seen such a film in my life, that made me want to get up and do something concrete about impending catastrophe brought about by global warming. I wish all the concerned people could watch it and come together to work on programs to save our environment."
