Movie appreciation event encourages positive thinking
Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare shares the joy with the participants

The movie appreciation event jointly organised by the Youth Council and the Courtesy for Good Association in July 2016 saw the attendance of 120 people, including CDF project participants and their family members from 60 underprivileged families, to enjoy the family movie "Finding Dory 2". Officiating at the event, Mr Stephen SUI, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, encouraged the project participants to stay positive even when things were tough.

The film tells an inspiring story about Dory, a blue tang fish with short-term memory loss. Determined not to be hampered by her disability, Dory set out on a journey to look for her parents from whom she had separated since she was a child. The film not only promotes positive attitudes but also conveys to parents the message that children should develop resilience against adversity.

The project participants who attended the film show are from seven NGO and school operators, namely Carmel Bunnan Tong Memorial Secondary School, Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College, Lions College, Neighbourhood and Worker's Education Centre Limited, San Wui Commercial Society Secondary School, Yan Chai Hospital and Yan Oi Tong.

Guests of honour at the event were Mr MA Hung-ming, John, BBS, JP, President of the Youth Council (left), Mr Stephen SUI, JP, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare (middle), and Mr LING Kwok-lung, Zeroone Dick, founder of the Courtesy for Good Association (right).
