Visit to the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy (FASA)

The Child Development Fund (CDF) conducted its first visit for its participants to the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy (FASA) in July 2024, which received positive feedback. To allow more participants to learn about fire and ambulance work and broaden their horizons, the CDF organised two additional visits to the FASA on 23 December 2024 and 30 December 2024 which included an introduction to professional training facilities and career seminars. The visits let participants have a deeper understanding of firefighting and ambulance work, and help widen their exposure and enrich their knowledge, inspiring them to plan for the future.
CDF participants visited a large-scale railway incident and live fire simulation training set up in the simulated railway station and rail tunnel.
CDF participants visited Compartment Fire Behaviour Training Centre.
Staff of FSD briefed CDF participants on different types of fire appliances and Aircraft Incident Training Area.
Staff of FSD briefed CDF participants on the Burn House and Rescue Training Tower.
CDF participants visited the Fire and Ambulance Services Education Centre cum Museum, which introduced the history of FSD and the development of rescue equipment.
Staff of FSD briefed CDF participants on the scope of work, entry requirements and career development in the Department.
