Project highlight:

Through partnering organisation Hong Kong Volunteers Federation:

  • Every participant who can complete the two-year savings programme will be provided a 1:1 matching contribution;
  • Every three participants will be supported by a volunteer mentor to help identify their personal development goals and put them into actions.

For participating children
  • Ice - breaking games and training sessions
  • Training: social skills, financial management (for children) and advanced financial training programme
  • Parent-child experiential learning activities
  • Lecture and workshops: growth support, career - oriented
  • Volunteering: community activities
  • Sharing: parent-child interests, positive life orientation programme
For parents / guardians
  • Training seminars: financial management (for parents), child development and parent - child communication, positive life orientation programme
  • Parent - child experiential learning activities

For mentors

Mentor recruitment

The "Plan for Our Future" project welcomes applications from those who meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 20 or above
  • With tertiary education qualifications
  • 5+ years of work experience
  • Passionate about community service, caring, positive and with good communication skills
  • Responsible and willing to take on mentor's roles and responsibilities for three years
  • Previous youth mentoring or related experience preferred
